Samvit Research Foundation, Bengaluru is a not-for-profit social organization focused on research in school education. It is an open platform for scholars, educationists and researchers to integrate their knowledge from successful experiments and broad base it for large scale implementation in thousands of schools. Educationists and scholars collaborate to design simple, scalable modules – enriching education through age-specific progressive curriculum framework – for Samagra Vyaktitva Vikas (Wholesome Personality Development) of children in physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual dimensions, which are majorly missed in the current curriculum of school education. Samvit is also an IKS Center approved by the IKS Division, AICTE, MoE, GoI.
The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 recognizes the importance of value education and emphasizes its integration into the curriculum. The policy highlights the need to impart values such as empathy, respect for diversity, and concern for the environment, among others, to create a well-rounded and responsible citizenry. The policy suggests that value education should be an essential component of the education system, and efforts should be made to promote its effective implementation.
With the above cited NEP 2020 guidelines and in the interest of the schools, we have create a repository of Maulyavardhan Illustrations for school teachers to integrate values in their subjects. These will serve as useful reference material to get ideas about integrating the values in their respective subjects. These materials are made easily accessible online.
The objectives of developing a repository of illustrations for Values :
- To facilitate schools to implement NEP 2020 recommendations with reference to Value Education.
- To facilitate the school teachers to understand the different ways of integrating the values in different subjects.
- To create ready reference materials for teachers to integrate values in their respective subject
